Hey! I was there, too!I was down in the Williamson Bowl that day doing some fly fishing at one of the lakes. I didn't have the view of the fire that you did (obviously), but I kept thinking "oh $#!*" when I saw the smoke. I thought my rig at the Shepherd Pass trailhead was toast. Were you the two guys I met at the trailhead from San Diego?

Re: Hey! I was there, too!My buddy is from San Diego. We caught a ride from a ranger that day. Roads were closed. We were expecting a friend to pick us up. Other hikers were stranded as they had to exit and leave their cars in Onion Valley... For a while the smoke was blowing over Shepherd Pass. It was hard to breath...
