Hike to the Toe of the Athabasca Glacier Flat section with beginning of first, short steep section which is really only a problem for those with chronic lung or heart problems since you are already at 6500 feet. The trail sign also warns that those who have just come from sea level (airplane to Jasper etc.) may also have issues with adjusting to the altitude. September 12, 2011
