As the highest peak in the Chisos Mountains (and Big Bend National Park), Emory has great views in all directions. This photo looks southeast. There are two lines of mountains here (both look like ridges), the Sierra del Caballo Muerto (great name) and Sierra del Carmen mountains. The del Carmen is by far the more impressive range, mostly lying in Mexico. January 2010.
