Ski Packing July 26, 2019
Great Ski Pack this weekend: about 22 miles and 7000’ and ONE ski run haha
Day 1: Monarch TH to camp above Gourd Lake via Buchanan Pass trail
Day 2: Ski off of Ooh La La, summit Ogalalla and back to Monarch TH via Roaring Fork trail
My favorite 3 new pieces of gear: tarp and two ski poles. Great hasty shelter for little naps while it rains/hails.

Something chewed off my ski pole wrist straps in the night…
From Ooh La La: looking south towards Crater Lake and such / looking west into Hell Canyon
Top of ski run between Ooh La La and Ogalalla into St. Vrain Glaciers
Shattered my camera lens glass but you can just make out the line I skied (as seen from the top of Ogalalla)
My legs hurt today. Worth it, but will probably not carry skis and ski boots like this again.
