Approach

Climb normal Granite Mountain trail no 1016 and at mile 2 or so you will notice the route head staright up towards the summit. Needless to say, only use this route in the winter time with snow on the terrain so as to not destroy the vegetation.

Route Description

The route up is pretty distinct, which is just straight up to the summit. There are several ridges to either side, so follow the path up. Be careful of avalanches as they are quite normal activity during the winter months

Essential Gear

Ice axe and crampons
