Baker Mtn. from Muddy Pass 11/26/2005. The Northeast Ridge is the right profile of Baker Mountain.
Route Description
From the trailhead follow Little Muddy Creek drainage crossing to the south side around 9,000'. Continue following the drainage to a spring. From here, the northeast ridge should be obvious. Gain the ridge and follow it to the summit.
Baker Mountain's Northeast Ridge Essential Gear
For winter ascents, skis or snowshoes will suffice. A ski descent is not recommended, though possible, due to very dense and/or downed trees. The southeast ridge probably offers a better ski descent.
