This is a photo of the newly replaced sign marker at the entrance to Serpent Lake Trail. There are trails leading off to the right of this photo, which before the sign post was replaced made this trailhead a little confusing. This photo was taken on May 25, 2003 by C. Harms.

Parking area moved

The parking area is now about 1/4 mile farther down the FS road. It's very improved and has great signage now. The old road continues, but it impassable by car due to washout or perhaps intentional removal of a culvert.
