Route Description
From the parking spot, start climbing southeast up into this drainage. In the lower reaches of the drainage, it’s much easier to stay on the upper left side of it rather than directly in it. You will see a prominent saddle on the ridgeline at an elevation of 2,250'. Climb up the drainage to this saddle. The rugged drainage is moderate at first, but steepens as you get closer to the saddle. It’s steep, rocky, and rough, but there are no major obstacles to overcome. Once you get to the saddle, you will clearly see the rest of the route.From the saddle, you will see a drainage that drops down in front of you, but you will start a level traverse to the left. The traverse is relatively short and easy. Once you get to the other side of the drainage, climb up the slope to a prominent saddle at 2,590'. Turn right, and start climbing up the rocky ridge. Just below the summit, the easiest route appears to traverse along a ledge to the left. This ledge has a somewhat exposed section about 10' long next to a small tree. You can grab the tree for safety. Once past the ledge, climb up the remaining 15' to the summit, where you can enjoy the desert views.
