Like somewhere in Utah

Did anybody reach the top by free climbing. The roof is formidable, but perhaps it is absent on the other side, he, he?
Cheers, Andrej

Re: Like somewhere in Utah

Yes - it is like Utah with vegetation. The whole huge region is like that with its 300+ climbing cliffs. However, most of them are safely hidden in the forest and very hard to photograph.

As for climbing Teufelstisch - yes it can be done. It actually has been first climbed in 1923 by its normal route (6+). The whole strucureis overhanging but you are right, the weak spot is on thr remote side, where the overhang is much smaller than on all other sides.

Currently I am reorganizing the area page since I finally managed to get the locations of 99% of the cliffs.

Re: Great shot!

Thanks Fabrizio! There is a local tale in which the devil needed a table for his dinner and quickly took two large rocks and put them together like this.

Re: Regards
