About 2.5 miles southeast of...

About 2.5 miles southeast of Cardinal is Pyramid Mountain (8,245 ft). It would provide a nice view of Lake Chelan, I'm sure. There is a good trail up it. It is merely a lengthy day-hike from the car. One trail from Big Hill to the southeast of the peak is 9 miles one way and requires about 2,000 ft of elevation gain. Another way via Pyramid Creek Trail is about the same distance but requires 4,500 feet of gain. Photo taken July 14, 2001.
