Radlovac

On the Radlovac (960) field which is placed on the seaboard terrace of Mid Velebit. Behind are slopes of Ljuljacka (1278m). Premuziceva Staza path traverses them on its way along seaboard side of Mid Velebit. In front is one of few such open water cisterns whose purpose was keep water for cattle. They date from times when people lead semi nomadic way of live during summers. Today everything is slowly falling apart under pressure of harsh Velebit climate, including small shepherd’s houses. An old couple, both over 80 years old, still returns to Radlovac during summer. They might have on spot made goat and sheep cheese. Photo: Aleksandar Gospic
