Grand Canyon Moonset (2 of 3)
With the sun barely surmounting the opposite horizon, the full moon sets over the Grand Canyon, AZ. The subtle colors in the photo are representative of those I witnessed when shooting this image (second of a series of three--one and three) from Desert View in December 2009. A +2 GND filter (related article) was used to control the brightness of the sky and the upper canyon walls.
