A close up of the chockstone gully leading up to the summit in winter conditions (April 5, 2004). In summer it is possible to bypass the gully by an easier route around to the right side of the tower but there would be steep snow to contend with. Definitely expect harder climbing in winter--especially if you have non-standard climbing footwear on (i.e., ski boots).
