Seemslike an incredible place. I wish someone would do research on it and figure out what it actually is. Thanks for sharing.

Re: SeemsWish there were not many regrets in this land, wish we could do something.
As I've heard, the french have been there in Shah's time. They are the ones as I know who have calculated the structures' age about 4000 years. I know some people from western universities have recently visited the place too. But it has all been informal.
What this place needs is a complete official support in all aspects which it will never have in the current situation both because it is against the theory of Iran as an ever monothesist country and because of what the shapes show. I'm glad you liked it Nader, At last there is something to be happy about.

Great article...and congratulations for making the front page.
Please forgive my ignorance, but where is Golestan Province? Is it close to Mazandaran? What are the neighboring provinces?

Re: Great article...Thanks a lot Mark
It was separated from Mazandaran few years ago. The capital of the province is Gorgan. The neighbors would be Mazandaran (W), Khorasan Shomali (E) and Semnan (S). As you see two of the provinces are new ones with a few years of official record.

Re: Man thisI have almost written all I knew in the text. But if I find anything interesting or appropriate I will add. A friend of mine that I brought there with me wanted to start a research about it. I hope he has. Maybe he will come up with something.

Re: very nice....Thanks
I checked the link, nice. But as you see the formations are totally different. Thus both are beautiful in their own way...
