Spinners („Przadki”) Nature Preserve is an area of 14 hectares (34 acres) situated in the village of Czarnorzeki (Korczyna commune) and 8 kilometers from the town of Krosno. The preserve was created in 1957 and for a long time it was the best place in the South-Eastern Poland for climbing. In 1995 climbing was forbidden here for ecological reasons.
The Spinners area is made of sandstone and the rocks are over 20 metres high. Their shapes are very original due to over 55 million years of erosion. Three of them have been named after women who according to the local legend were turned into stone and others after the shapes that they resemble. Some of the names include: Przadka-Mother, Przadka-Woman, Ringleader, Small Stairs, Lover and Gorilla.
