Our campsite at Island Lake. It took us two stout days of hiking and snowshoeing to get here and this was the last dry campsite (with running water) between us and Gannett. We paid for the great camping spot with a long round trip grunt to Gannett two days later. We calculated that the round trip from Island Lake to the summit and back is 17.5 miles.
