ghost glacier...Striking view...! In the early seventies, the space between the bottom of Caré Alto west face and the large frontal moraine seen half way of the picture, was filled with a crevassed glacier...gone with the wind.

Re: ghost glacier...Yeah, you are right...but gone with the heat!!!! It's quite normal unfortunately in the Alps...Have you some pictures about it...it would be very interesting...or it is only your visual memory??? ;-))) thanks
