"Mt. Misch"?

If I'm not mistaken the highest point on the horizon right of center is Misch. Would you agree? I'm thinking it would be a very interesting traverse from Green Mtn over to Misch. Probably would require a couple or three days maybe? -Bob

Mischaroo

Yep, that's Misch. Two days will be a problem now (probably improbable) and even three days will be a chore. Why? Because the Suiattle River Road is washed out AGAIN, this time something like 10 miles before the Green Mountain Trailhead. Gotta bike? The washout is unlikely to be repaired, in my estimation. Note also that there is apparently more than one washout.

Misch

Interesting. I missed where the Suiattle washed out again though it is hardly surprising.

I suppose that even still, I wouldn't be worth trying to figh the brush and come in from the N over Buckindy via the Cascade River Road?

Green Mtn has been a favorite of mine, in fact I think it is the only mtn I've done three times in WA aside from exercise hikes. One of the highest views to effort ratios around. Too bad it sounds like it will no longer be so easy to access.

Re: Misch

Horrible news Paul. I've been fearful that if that thing washed out again, it might never be repaired. It wouldn't be surprising if it's not repaired, but what a huge loss that will be for weekend warriors looking for relatively quick access to some great destinations. A mountain bike would be very helpful, but with a big pack it may be advantageous to make multiple trips ala Denali and such. Guess I'd better start working out on that bike - I've never been much of a biker.
