Vinson Summit Camp

In November 2004 Rodrigo Fica, Damien Gildea and Camilo Rada spent over eight hours on the summit of Mount Vinson, running a Trimble DGPS to measure a new height of 4892m. Data loggers recorded a low of -46C that night, spent in the tent in down suits but no sleeping bags.
