Wow!That must have been great to be able to do that! How quickly was the lava moving? Did it feel very hot where you were standing?

Re: Wow!that day lava moving very slow, aprox 4 mts per hour. Very VERY HOT, I was closer just 2 or 3 seconds, impossible more without equipment.

Re: Wow!Strangely enough I happened to be doing this at Pacaya about 3 months after I wrote my first comment there, wasn't expecting to be going to Guatemala at the time. And indeed the lava was super hot, my colleague's phone that I was carrying in my pocket actually stopped working as a result of hanging out so close. Ah well, it was worth it!!
