Wall Hawkweed

Wall Hawkweed (Hieracium murorum) is very common in lower mountain areas. It is a perennial from the family Asteraceae. There are about 600 subspieces of hawkweed and it is difficult to tell them apart. Wall Hawkweed likes sunny locations and can be found in mixed or deciduous forests. The flowers are yellow and appear from May to August. The plant can get from 20 to 50 cm high. The Low Beskid - Slope of Mount Przymiarki - August 2007.
