I didn't notice a railroad track when I looked on the topo! Guess I need to take ANOTHER look.

In 2002, a train was passing through Tooele Valley, just west of the Oquirrh Mountains. It was summer, and the temps had been hot for several days. The train created a spark that caused a grass fire. I wonder if that ever happens in E. Washington? Probably not.

Nah, it never gets hot in eastern washington.
One of the cooler areas of the west as you know from living in Wenatchee. : )
