Walrus Glacier Route

Walrus Glacier Route

The round trip stats are 26 miles, 6700' of gain. Notice the Z-route we took to negotiate the crevasses on the glacier. SCRAM is the approx location of where the scramble route heads into the basin. 005 and 006 head into a stand of pines, and SCRAM is above those trails. We ascended the yellow route near the summit. I guessed at the top location of the scramble route "one and only gully", waypoint "GULLY", before our Walrus Glacier trip, just in case we decided to camp in the basin and descend that way. The gully is very easy to locate from the summit. July 11, 2009
