You know, I'm not really sure. We didn't notice any smoke the day before as we hiked in, but sure noticed it in the morning. Couldn't really tell where it came from but I would imagine it was somewhat close. The smell was strong.

To the best of my knowledge there are currently no fires in the Olympics. But as you probably know there are many in the Cascades. I've come to the Olympics several times recently to get some cleaner air but a lot of the smoke is still blowing over.
