Kings Canyon Trail
Parking lot was full at 9am but I waited about ten minutes and a space opened up. Warm but a nice hike. Lots of people down low but very few up high.

Spent a couple days exploring the park - quick loop via King Canyon to Hugh Norris to Gould Mine trails. Beautiful weather in the upper 60's. Not too crowded. Great fun!

Wasson Peak
Kessler and I climbed Wasson Peak from the Hugh Norris Trail, which is the longest, but most scenic route up the mountain. It was a pretty warm day and we sweated a lot. There were a lot of people on the trails in the morning, but by afternoon the mountain was deserted because people wanted to go see the super bowl. We saw one roadrunner on the way to the summit.

All hail Hugh Norris
The Hugh Norris trail was scenic and knee friendly. It wisks you gradually up 2000 feet. Sunny and temps in 50s, 60s and 70s. With Evan.
Temps topped out at about 80 today, so nice morning hike with only about 3 other people seen on the trail.

Nice "winter"summit
Hiked up the Hugh Norris Trail and down Kings Canyon with my son. Lucky my wife willing to drop us at the trailhead and then meet yes at e Sonoran Desert Museum a few hours later so we could do a point to point hike. Loved the dry trail, great views, colorful flowers and small number of hikers. Very different than the mountains back home in Vermont this time of year!

Great Hike
I am from Kansas, the scenery here is of a different kind of beauty. The beautiful plants contrast the bare rock everywhere. It is very beautiful. I went during spring break. Be sure to bring lots of water with you. It is still the desert, even if it is not hot out, it is really dry!

Went up the King's Canyon trail and came down the Sendero Esperanza. Did it with a couple of hiking friends at the end of a week long trip to Tucson. Great views and lots of cactus in bloom.

Pre-dawn Hike
I started hiking at 5:15 AM along the Kings Canyon Trail. I reached the summit in only 1H30M, and I descended via a different trail variation and bagged nearby Amole Peak. I was shocked to find two other hikers/ trail runners coming from another trail near the summit, so early in the morning. Nice area. Great views.
