Mapped weeds up this canyon. The BST near the falls is pretty dirty with weeds.

First Time
Went with my wife and 2.5-year old son. We started at the 29th Street trailhead a little later than planned, (around 11am), so the sun was a little rough hiking up to the canyon. As expected, there were quite a few people on the trail, but we made quick progress - well, as quick as you can expect with a toddler.
The trail is fairly easy, up until the trail to the waterfall splits from the main trail. My son was able to hike that entire length on his own two feet. After you split off, near the aqueduct remnants, it gets fairly rough all the way up to the waterfall.
The waterfall itself is fairly impressive, though it's very popular so you're guaranteed to have company. We had some lunch by the falls and snapped some pictures of squirrels who were running around nearby. All-in-all, a fun hike.

Hike after a snowstorm
6/27/12 - Hiked up to the waterfall, then up the chute and over into Malan's Basin, to the peak, down the switchbacks, and back to the 29th street trailhead. A great hike!
5/28/12 - Hiked up Malan's, to the basin, and down Waterfall Canyon. No snow. Great day.
3/17/12 - Took my 15 year-old and our puppy up. A good hike. Nearly all of the snow/ice is gone.
1/22/12 - It was such a gorgeous day! I took my little mutt on the hike, and besides the snow building up on his paws he seemed to have fun.
Everything was covered in snow, and it was beautiful! A few people had hiked up before me so there was a little bit of a packed trail to follow.
The falls are frozen, but you could see water flowing behind the ice in spots.

2nd best waterfall in the Northern Wasatch
I like Adams Canyon waterfall better, but this one is good too. Especially in the winter.

Waterfall Canyon
I hike up this canyon every year. Winter in my favorite time to visit.
