Did Lower Water Holes in March. Had fishing boat tow kayaks up to the exit and floated back down to Lee's Ferry after the trip. Going over the big wall at the bottom was the scariest rap I've ever done. It was snowing and windy. Made the kayaks just before dark. Never been so glad to get back from a trip.

Led a Trip
Led a trip down here with NAU Outdoors and did Upper and Middle Waterholes. There was a TON of water in the canyon and we all had to get wet. Be prepared for water in November and the cold temps! We used the alternate rappel on rappel 2 to save our group from getting hypothermic.
Late Spring 2010 was the first time I did Waterholes. We did the Upper and Middle sections. Those two are easy when done together, but are still very photogenic and fun.
Fall 2010 we went a second time, but came back with six people to do Middle and Lower Waterholes. Lower Waterholes is so much fun and very technical. We broke up into two groups for the big rappel. We almost got our ropes stuck, thankfully that didn't happen. We got to the river as the sunset, so we had to float the river in our kayaks we brought in the dark. Bringing inflatable kayaks working out in the end, but they were a bitch to get through the canyon. This was the most epic trip I have had hands down. Waterholes is and will always be a winner in my book.

Huge rapWaterholes is a pretty amazing canyon. The float and the big rap are the best parts.
