We made it

We made it

This pic is really for Caleb and is proof that we got our vehicles to the top. We had to stop and move a huge boulder off the road on the upper part of the road about a quarter mile from the summit. We also had to deal with washout sections that we managed to get past as well as a mud pit lower down that almost stopped us. The road is going to be undrivable in the near future due to the washouts that are eliminating the road in some places. Still, we did make it up and that was the challenge of getting this one done. An ATV would be a better choice than vehicles the size of ours. 7-11-11

nice

Yeah the road was mostly intact when I did this, but the mud was about 6-12" deep so I stopped at the 1st switchback. Way to go Dean!

Re: nice

One of the main reasons we drove the thing was that we also wanted to get OreVada on the same day. Ken had a time crunch to deal with and so getting a twofer was important. Overall our plan worked out great but I'd really like to have had more time in this area. TriDent peak was calling to me as was House Mountain. Thanks for putting up this page, it was really helpful.
