Tusk O'Granite

This peak has been called "Tusk O'Granite" for a while. You can choose to leave it as West Granite but you should at least make reference to the unofficial name Tusk O'Granite.

Re: Tusk O'Granite

Interesting. I've never heard that one before, but as I looked into it, I see that NWHikers also refers to it as Tusk O'Granite. as do others who have already commented on SP. Yellowleaf.org refers to it as "West Granite (AKA Tusk O'Granite)". www.wta.org refers to it as West Granite, as do the Mountaineers. Clearly this peak goes by at least both names. I defer to your expertise on this and will make mention of Tusk O'Granite. It's definitely a more impressive name. Thanks for letting me know about this one.

Re: Tusk O'Granite

I'm ambivalent as to which name is more appropriate because I don't know the history and I haven't climbed it.

I like the new name you gave it with TOG in parentheses. However, I would put quotes around it too, as in:
West Granite Mountain ("Tusk O'Granite")
