1. alternate approach is to go up left side of drainage and onto forested ridge on trail which comes out at base of rock on ridge.
2. slabs and crux are probably 5.2/5.3
3. alternate descent down south ridge has some exposed moderate/difficult scrambling for short sections but works well as come down through trees to where car is parked.
