west side of Hintere...
west side of Hintere Schwaerze, seen from Schalfkogeljoch notch (close-up, August 1997). On the right is Similaun. The north ridge route can be seen well. It runs from Schwaerzejoch pass (in the middle, just above the glaier basin) to the upper left to gain the main ridge that leads over rock and ice along the upper east ridge to the summit.
