I didn't pay much attention to my ascent route, but reached the summit nevertheless.

Not dificult.
Easiest way to get to an climb up Mount Agassiz. Bishop Pass trail is a very pitoresc trail and the view if the Palisade from the top of Agassiz is marvelous.
Walked south past the standard talus slope route to above the southernmost and largest tarn. Faced the center (maybe slightly right of center) of the west slope and went up a large chute heading almost due east. The chute consisted of mostly solid class 2 rock (there were some loose rocks sitting around in spots that I avoided knocking down the chute) until a short class 3 section near the top and then crested the south ridge between the summit and the southern crag. Now with views of the east side of the Palisades dominant, I quickly traversed over to a saddle that joins the Agassiz Col route (Sam Mack/Big Pine approach) to the normal west slope summit route, listening to constant, disatant rockfall. After enjoying summit views, I went down on or near the standard west slope route on long, tedious, class 2 talus.

Perfect Weather
Fun scramble with fantastic views! Mostly class 2 with a couple of minor class 3 moves w no exposure/commitment worries. The grade seemed like it was about the same the whole way up. I kept expecting it to get steeper, but it was pretty mellow. We went up a chute that started off on the just past the border on the Sequoia/Kings Canyon side
Did this as a bit of a trail run from south lake. Went up the 2nd chute from the right as far as I was comfortable and then crossed over into the 1st chute from the right. Stayed class 2 all the way to the summit. Came down following the cairns and foot prints and had some class 3 down climbing below where I crossed on the way up. Beautiful day and wonderful views at the top. Car to car in about 7 hours. Not a record but good for this old man.

First right chute in snow
Brought some friends from the east coast to enjoy the Sierra Nevada. We were treated to snow from Long Lake on, after a long, heavy winter. Made it a bit over 13,000' up the first right chute; the usual route was snowed over and melty by the time we got there. Fun route, awesome views.

West Slope
What a fantastic view, not just of the Palisades, but the rest of the High Sierra. Went up the usual chute, but decided to go right for a little class 3.

Fun scramble
Fun day climb from South Lake. Tried to keep it class 3 staying to the right of the class 2 chute...it looked like a lot of loose junk in there. Fun scramble. The views alone make this a worthy climb.
