The telltale alternating black and white band of a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus atrox) seen during the Bataan Memorial Death March in southern New Mexico. The Western Diamondback is the largest western rattlesnake and is considered one of the most dangerous. Photo taken 3/30/08.
