Wherever That River Goes, That's Where I Want To Be
From a vantage point south of Chasm Creek, Arizona's Verde River cuts through several layers of basalt in a wild blur of motion.
Snow-melt from the Black Hills and western Mogollon Rim have increased the
river's power. At 2,000 cubic feet per second, the Verde is at it's
swiftest and highest level within the past 5 years.
"The river flows,
It flows to the sea.
Wherever that river goes,
That's where I want to be.
Flow river flow;
Let your waters wash down.
Take me from this road,
To some other town."
