Though many out west scoff at the mountains of the east, I think the Whites are a special place. There's tons of history in this region and I have had some unforgettable adventures here. Plus, there nothing like the mountains of the northeast during fall foliage.
I live in Boise, Idaho now, but the Whites (and Adirondacks) will always have a special place in my heart. If you can hike here, you can hike anywhere!
I grew up hiking these mountains and keep returning, even after being in Colorado. So many good memories and great trails...
So many trips, winter, summer
Skied off the summit of Washington a few times. East Coast corn!
Just got back up to the whites for the first time this year, many trips over the years, and lots more to go this summer. Mt. Washington is a great way to spend a holiday weekend.
The Whites were my home away from home, for a while (and by 'home', I mean my lab). Summitted all 48 of the White Mountain 4000 footers in a year and went back to most of them for seconds, thirds, fourths, ...
Much more exploration needed up in NH
Always welcome a trip to the Whites
