Good Route Photo

Yesterday we took a similar route to Whittier with the exception of coming from Irving Pass and going over the summit of Longfellow.

During the descent we following the northwest ridge of Whittier down for twice the distance before scrambling off the west side. The scramble at that point was much shorter and less dangerous. I'll post some route photos of this spot in the next couple days.

I finally got around to posting those route photos. Here they are.

The scrub trees on the ridge are sort of indicated on your map with green shading. I believe the gully I describe is near 6600 feet.

Re: Good Route Photo

Your pictures are great and very familiar. Of course they are much better quality than my pictures which were taken on an old film camera. And it does look a little different than when we were there, as it was all snow covered. Still, I do think we may have breached the ridge in the same gully.
