Snow bunting

Nice shot of a Snow bunting (Plectrophenax nivalis). Its a male. It's a winter migrant to Britain, on the East Coast and Scotaland.

Re: Snow bunting

Ah, thát's what it was! I have to admit that I'm not very good at recognizing birds. Mostly, I was surprised to find any bird up there at all, so I took this picture. It wasn't scared, so I presume it was used to all the tourists up there.

Re: Snow bunting

Ha ha, it was probably after the food you had in your pack!

Re: Great photo!

Thanks!
Must admit, I didn't do that. Fortunately, the picture properties include the date it was taken: 16 May 2010. Just for the record :-).
