Willard Peak

Willard Peak

The rugged west face of Willard Peak. The mountain is most easily accessed from the ridge to the north. You can also hike to it from North Ogden Divide. The trail goes past Chilly Peak and then up to Ben Lomond. You can continue and follow a trail that traverses over the south ridge to the summit

Chilly is a

great name for it, and look at
that awesome quartzite! If you
went up this way, it would present
quite a challenge.

Re: Chilly is a

Thanks. Chilly is the official name of this mountain. I like the quartzite cliffs located in the mountains above Ogden. The west sides of these mountains present a challenge. They are just as interesting as the mountains above Salt Lake City.

Yes, you are right again! When I was a
teen-ager, I went to the Lagoon "fun-park"
in Farmington. I always stared up at the
fasinating mountains, when I was on the
ferris wheel or roller coaster. If I
looked at the mountains, then I didn't
get dizzy. Mountains are my friend!!!
