Shots of the north-side traverse looks like taken on our winter attempt Hörnli Ridge Matterhorn. Almost the same hand holds and steps. Regret not having even such 'good' conditions as you, we visited snow hell.
Nice TR.
The pics of the notch traverse and descent are great Jason!
I enjoyed reading the Gladstone trip but thought this one was a bit better! You must have had a wonderful time out there! If anything, the low cloud-deck only adds to the mystique!
Great synopsis!
We toss a pebble into a pond and see how it sets up ripples, but few think how it effects the currents underneath. I appreciated reading your report, and seeing the photos of your climb to Wilson's Peak. The beautiful snow covered what lay beneath. You could not find the registry because a small airplane carrying 4 young people crashed into the summit on September 15, 2006. It destroyed the registry. Personal items remain buried beneath that snow -- including the pilot's body (which has not been found). Someone(?) constructed the Cross from tent poles. As parents of the 4, we appreciate that. Please be careful when climbing. As my son would always say, "Life is good!"
