Yes ...I KEEP hearing about this WINDLASS. Looks like that was a very interesting job to partake in.
Guess a person couldn't be afraid of heights.
Is Canaan Mountain inside the Dixie National Forest? That's an incredible area to VISIT!!!

Re: Yes ...Yes, the Windlass was a really interesting feature on the mountain. There were a few other old machine parts scattered around that area.
Cable Mountain in Zion has a similar abandoned cable works that was used to lower timber to the valley. Canaan Mountain is located south of Dixie National Forest not far from Arizona.

Re: Yes ...You’re right, I should be out playing in the snow. We got a lot in the mountains. That must be why I’m thinking about mountains in the desert.
