Sunlight-Windom combo
Climbed over from Sunlight and just got Windom before early storms kicked in. This was a straight-forward, more "relaxing" scramble that I'd like to return to sometime!

West Ridge
Surprisingly enjoyable, especially the finish. K's first mountain.

into the hailstorm
sunlight was sunny....windom was not. i climbed up windom for 15-20 minutes in the worst hailstorm i've ever experienced. it wasn't pleasant, but i wasn't turning around unless i heard thunder. once it relented, all was good. it was a tad slippery, but i was never put in an uncomfortable situation.
the summit was surprising!

FINALLY
!!!THE LAST ONE!!!
w/ Dad via standard route.
Left campground (~10,900’) @ 6.03. Hauled ass to Twin Lakes (light sprinkle ~7.30- WTF?!! Trepidation ensued), but then ½ hour break.
After that, fun scrambling! Summited @ 11.31.
WOW- after 21 years (!!!), I’m…done!!!! A very weird idea, feeling, & concept! On the one hand, WHAT a goal (for me @ least) to have finally completed; on the other hand, all of the former unknowns are now knowns- there are no more CO 14er blanks on the map anymore. What a paradox. Such is life, I guess…
Enjoyed spectacular views of the San Juan backcountry, trying to soak it all in. Finally left @ 12.24. Weather fluctuated between rain & sunny- ah, Colorado! Finally back @ camp @ 17.11.
Enjoyed great freeze-dried food @ BEER before dropping into sleep.
Fun hike with my son, brother and Duchess. We scrambled on the south side, and then found the easy normal trail down. Duchess was leading the way and she got us of the track :)

After Eolus and Sunlight
Did Eolus, waited out a storm for 4 hours, did Sunlight...then Windom. Got to this summit at 7:30 pm and ran down the trail to make camp before dark

Nice Scramble
Climbed with Eolus and Sunlight while enroute from Chicago Basin to Ruby Basin. Nice little scramble.
Second time up. This time came over from Sunlight Creek on our pack over the Sunlight Spire-Windom saddle. This high saddle is a pretty reasonable way to get from Sunlight Creek to Chicago Basin, but its a lot of tedious talus hopping with a heavy pack. In any case, it provides a nice alternative access to the crowds in Chicago Basin and allows you to combine a 14er trip with Jagged.
