Wleń Castle

The ruins of the castle on the summit of Góra Zamkowa (Castle Mountain) at 384m on the fringes of the town of Wleń, in the foothills of the Western Sudetes. The mountain has been designated a nature reserve in order to protect its flora. What is left from the castle – until 1945 called Hedwigsburg by the locals – is its oldest part built by Prince Henryk I Brodaty in the first half of the 13th c.
