Yellow Bell (Fritillaria pudica)

Yellow Bell (Fritillaria pudica)

Yellow bell is fairly common in grasslands and open pine forest in much of the western U.S. and Canada. Though generally a common species, it is largely being displaced by weeds and local extirpation of the species is ongoing in many areas. Photo is from Kamiak Butte in eastern Washington.
