big arrowUnbelievable that Yosemite Falls look like a big arrow pointing up! Cool shot. Since ice forms on the flanks of the falls, this must be shot at early spring?

Re: big arrowI believe I shot this on April 8th, 1980. We had tried to climb Dihedral Wall on El Cap but snow melt froze every night at the top and then came crashing down on us mid morning, so we climbed the Arrow Direct instead ( my first wall ) since there was nothing falling on us! That in itself made the climb seem much safer!
