You can't tell by this pic, unless you've been there, what this climb back up the traverse is really like. It's a good challenge after a good day of climbing Granite. The large toppled chunks of granite are just waiting to catch you off balance... At the beginning of the descent, across the traverse, the route is stomped enough to follow as you can see in this pic. But after you pass through a couple of saddles the route turns into "follow the cairns" hopping from boulder to boulder. 8/14/06
