Re: That was lucky !No, I think he was looking for food. He was eating some of the beach plants until he decided to go back to his bedding area a few yards into the woods.

Actually, he was a boogie boarder. The waves at the Olympic Peninsula were only about 2 feet high, so mostly he was just paddling around.
