Yucca Wound on Trail Run along Barley Flats Trail

On the Barley Flats Trail between the summit of Barley Flats and Red Box, the yucca plants overlap the trail. One yucca needle got me good. 7.26.08. I was doing the loop from Red Box to Mt. Lawlor to Barley Flats and back to Red Box as a trail run and so only had running shorts on thus exposing my legs to yucca, buckthorn and thistle plants.

At least the hole in my leg was tiny! Fortunately, the tip of the needle didn't break off inside.
