Seravski Vrh with Cipala

Seravski Vrh (1661m) seen from the Premuziceva Staza path where it makes large semicircle around SE corner of huge Cipala/Smrceve Doline (Cipala/Spruce Valleys) forested depression/valley on the way between Rossijevo Skloniste and Alan pass. Just left of Seravski Vrh northern edge of Rozano grassy plateau is visible and that is where path leaves the forest. Photo: Aleksandar Gospic

Tempting!

This looks like nature lover's paradise, hiker's haven.

Nice shot Sasha!

Re: Tempting!

Thanks Emil!! Indeed, paradise it is, whole Velebit, for hikers and nature lovers! And what is most beautiful it hasn't been discovered yet on the scale that is normal today in the world. There are millions of tourists in this country each summer but even then Velebit isn't crowded and some places are still unvisited. But it is noticeable that there are more people each summer. During the rest of the year even Siberia is probably more crowded. So I'm kind of in paradox situation here. As much as I like this peacefulness and wilderness I cannot resist sharing this beauty with the world and with time crowds will grow. So I can only hope that somehow most people will find Velebit undesirable ;-) It is interesting that none of foreign SP members, except Vid, visited Velebit; at least none of summit logs have been signed. I think it lacks that appealing altitude, which is one of the more important factors when people choose where to go, so that might be the reason. If it becomes like Alps one day it will be terrible.

Cheers
