3-vine bridge over Braldu

A three-vine bridge over the Braldu River, downstream from Askole, Pakistan. The ropes are twisted from tons of weeping willow vines. There is no deck; you walk on the bottom hawser, using the upper two as rails. Smaller ropes weave the major bundles together. Sort of. June, 1988

Thanks. That was my only trip outside North America, and even though I didn't make the summit, I had a terrific time.
