5/9/05: A rarely visited...
5/9/05: A rarely visited place: This is near where I called it a day and turned back, just shy of Point 13,542, a sub-summit of Mount Hope on Hope's South Ridge. The steep, loose rock mixed with avalanche-prone snow formed enough reason to turn back, though I think with different conditions this may be a reasonable, though tougher and more remote alternative to Hope's other more common approaches. Looks like it could be a fun scramble.
